COMPORTA.
Against TYPO.
Surrounded by extraordinary natural beauty, the area between Comporta and Melides has become the epitome of a certain lifestyle.
Most residential projects strive for the familiar imagery of sandy paths and rice fields, often overlooking the more complex story beneath. Not long ago, this landscape was rough and unforgiving. Arid. Wild.
That is the beauty we were drawn to.
From Tróia to Grândola, this is a land shaped by raw materials, extraordinary craftsmanship and constant adaptation. Ceramics, textiles, salt curing and fish drying reveal a culture built on working with what the sea and the soil provide.
Our project looks beyond the stereotype and towards the character of the territory itself. Not as a nostalgic exercise, but as a contemporary interpretation of traditions that have endured through time.
Its beauty lies in understanding the terroir on which it stands, translating local knowledge, materials and techniques into a new architectural language.
Ironic, right?
And beautiful for that.
