Our new project brings a city that has shaped so much of Portugal back to centre stage.
Often perceived as secondary to Lisbon, Setúbal has long been a place of extraordinary cultural, social and industrial significance. Its strategic position and productive character made it impossible to ignore. Yet much of its story remains overlooked.
That story is what drew us here.
From its industrial heritage to its architectural richness, Setúbal is a city defined by curiosity and invention. Art Nouveau details, Modernist forms, the greens of Arrábida and the shifting tones of the Sado estuary all contribute to a unique urban landscape.
Setúbal was, and still is, a creative powerhouse.
Our project draws from these local references, both decorative and functional, to create a contemporary interpretation of the city’s heritage and natural surroundings. Not as a replica of the past, but as a continuation of its spirit.
Setúbal is a microcosm that resists categories while embracing originality.
We had to use that, right?
